Missions

Welcome to the website of the Department of Food Sciences (DDA) of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Liège.

In total, it brings together around forty teachers, researchers and technicians who are involved in research projects at the Walloon, federal, European and development cooperation levels in various countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America.

The missions of the DDA, which is made up of researcher-teachers and teacher-researchers, are as follows:

• Develop research useful to society to improve our knowledge in relation to food sciences in the broad sense
• Teach, share and popularize food science knowledge
• Participate in community support structures, whether inside or outside the University
